I just wanted to take a moment to say how pleased I have been with Rocktown Realty since they have taken over the Griffin Lane Subdivision HOA. 

Two minor issues recently came to light and literally as soon as I made them known to Kayleigh she acknowledged and took care of them right away. 

Actually, one of the issues has been plauging the Subdivision for about two years now. There was a pothole at the entrance of our street and the previous HOA left us with only the answer that they were getting estimates to have it fixed. I filled it with small stones in hopes that it would help, but they soon washed away after several storms and all of the vehicles running over them. No sooner had I mentioned it to Kayleigh and it was fixed just days later. I was completely impressed! 

I also had an issue with some holes in my siding recently, and once again, no sooner than I mentioned it she had it taken care of and fixed by a very friendly and capable VMS contractor who went COMPLETELY out of his way to find matching siding about an hour's drive away and then came back and fixed the holes the same day. He also came back the next day and fixed a piece that had been missing ever since we moved in. 

I feel our previous HOA was not run efficiently, nor legally. And, I wish an investigation would be opened into them, I am certain they did not keep legitimate records, and they also went after my neighbors out of spite over small things. But, since Rocktown Realty has taken over, a HUGE load has been lifted off my back in regard to being a homeowner there in the subdivision. And I feel that our needs are now finally being met quickly and efficiently. If there was one thing that was done right by the previous HOA it was choosing Rocktown Realty for my community. 

I am certainly appreciative of the service and excellence they have provided for us in such a short time that they have been in charge of the HOA. I'm truly greatful for the avenues of communication they have provided and I feel much more comfortable as a homeowner on Griffin Lane now. I know that if a problem arises, I can trust Kayleigh and Rocktown to handle it.

“Rocktown Realty has been a wonderful property management partner who helped us rent out our home near downtown Harrisonburg.  Donna, Julie and Lauren were patient, proactive, thoughtful and communicative partners who helped us every step of the way.  They took our family home which was in pretty bad shape, with decades of deferred maintenance through a complete refresh, and managed every step of the process on the ground for us while we lived out of state.  They have a fantastic extended team of vendors who helped us with everything from landscaping, refinishing the floors, kitchen and bathroom renovations to electrical and plumbing work.  They even helped store our old furniture for us!

Probably the most outstanding aspect of their business is their communication.  Every email or text we sent them was returned within a day, they always checked in with us before doing anything we hadn't planned, and they gave us status reports with pictures at least once a week.  We always felt "in-the-loop".

At the end of the process, they respected our wishes and found great tenants who met our crazy requirements (we needed to find tenants without pets because of a family member's severe pet allergies), all in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

This was an important and meaningful project for us: it was our family's home, built in 1937 - and we wanted to take great care of it.  Given all the changes in our lives and work this year, we couldn't focus on this project full-time and we can't imagine having done this without our friends at Rocktown Realty.  Thank you for running such a great business and for making this difficult and intimidating process easier for us.  We look forward to working with you for many years to come."
